Here at Casa Victoria, we love our mid-century just as much as the next guy--(after all, we are located in Silverlake, the hippest neighborhood in the US.) Anyone who is anyone knows that mid-century modern is "in" right now but that doesn't mean it's necessarily for you. Nextdoor.com and Forbes Magazine sifted through data from more than 250 neighborhoods in the biggest US cities to determine which neighborhoods were the hippest. They assessed the area’s walkability score, the number of coffee shops, the variety of food trucks, the farmer’s market ratio, the number of locally owned bars and restaurants, and the percentage of residents who work in any art related industry. Guess what? Silver Lake, was number one. Yep, that’s right. Silver Lake is the hippest hipsterhood in the entire U S of A. Take that Williamsburg. Too bad, so sad Austin. Guess what else?
