Eating together as a family is challenging in this day and age (especially when new episodes of Scandal keep airing.) TiVo was invented for a reason, so you can catch up on your "stories" AFTER the kids are asleep. This vintage oak pedestal table was beautifully carved in the early 1900s. Made in San Francisco, this gorgeous dining table includes five matching chairs. Feet of table are clawed. Nothing encourages eating dinner as a family better than a round dining table.

SOLD | One Too Many Cloth Diapers | Turn of the Century Steamer Trunk

One can only imagine the adventures that this old steamer trunk has been on. If only objects could tell stories of their whereabouts, we wouldn't have to watch so much reality TV. Did this trunk originally belong to an angsty teenager being sent off to boarding school to "straighten up" or maybe a rebellious housewife running away from her family after washing one too many cloth diapers? The truth shall never be known. This turn of the century handmade steamer trunk is different than most steamer trunks. It has a sloped opening, a wooden drawer and a shelf as well an original raw hide trim on the exterior.
