Each of these plastered arm chairs by Phyllis Morris of Los Angeles have been beautifully carved and whimsically designed. Phyllis Morris began her design career in 1953, a time when slick, streamlined furniture was the standard. Instead of following trends, Phyllis made her own rules and created pieces with bold Italian carvings and rich layered patinas.

SOLD | For the Love of Futons | 1970s Love Seat Sofa Bed

Making your guests sleep on a futon you got on sale at <insert favorite bix box store here> is not only blasphemous, it's down right rude. It's almost as bad as buying one of those inflatable air mattresses and telling them to have a "good night." I don't know anyone who has ever had a good night sleeping on one of those lumpy things. This 1970s love seat has a solid wood frame and an inlayed design. Not only is this love seat comfortable to sit on but the cushion extends forward and lays flat to form a sofa bed built for two. Sofa would be perfect in the den, studio apartment, or in the guest room.
